Have you ever wanted to try your hand at pottery, but don't know where to start?
We're here to help!
We've gotten so much feedback from folks who would LOVE to give clay a try, but are overwhelmed by the options, price-points, and process.
We hear you, and we understand how intimidating it can seem when you're new to the craft.
But we firmly believe that art, creation, and clay, are for EVERYONE. So we're happy to announce that we've brought back a community favorite: pottery workshops
These workshops were created with beginners and accessibility in mind. They're an easy and fun way to learn about clay, and connect with your local community.
Here’s how they work:
Workshops are two-hour sessions hosted by us at our SE storefront
Classes are small so we can spend more one-on-one time with students
Select from a designated project (for example our “make a mug” workshop) or choose our open-studio session “Clay Time” and make whatever you’d like!
We provide the clay, underglaze, and all tools necessary to get started. You just bring yourself (and maybe a friend)
Once your project is completed, we’ll clear-coat, and fire it for you. We’ll text you when it’s ready to be picked up!
Congrats! You have a one of a kind item that you can proudly say you made.
Our open-studio style workshops are best for those that have a specific item or project in mind. We're still there to offer guidance, but you get to choose how to spend your two hours of class time! Regardless of which workshop style you choose, we’re here to help.
And just for fun, here’s a few examples of projects students have made:
We love seeing the fun and unique ideas that students have. It re-affirms what we’ve known all along: to be human is to be creative.
If you've wanted to connect with your creative side, this is the perfect way! Come solo and make new friends in your neighborhood, or bring your bestie and make it a date.
