Anna VonRosenstiel is the founder and creative force behind Carter + Rose, a beloved ceramics shop and studio in Portland, Oregon. Anna moved to Portland to pursue a dream: building a space where handmade art and community could come together.
With a background as a classroom art teacher, Anna first discovered ceramics while exploring creative projects for her students. That spark quickly turned to a deep love for clay, and soon after, Carter + Rose was born. What began with scraps of clay has evolved into a thriving studio known for its signature ceramic wall planters and playful ceramic snakes, all rooted in simplicity, functionality and beauty.
Beyond the work Anna creates for Carter + Rose, she curates work for private homes and collections, as well makes bespoke art for specific spaces.
