Our classic planters are designed to hang on your wall, maximizing small spaces and freeing up coveted counter space. They can hold air plants, dried flowers or even artificial plants, and are handmade here in Portland, Oregon.
Each planter is made with Oregon clay and is finished with a self-leveling leather loop for easy hanging.
This modern design is a fabulous way to add a touch of greenery to your walls. Plus, as you'll see, they're very easy to install!
1. Select the right spot. If your wall planter will hold a living plant, such as our air plants, you'll need to find a spot that receives a good amount of sunshine. If you don't have good lighting, don't worry! You can try a dried arrangement, or some dried lavender or rosemary from your garden.
2. Try multiple placements until you find one you like. Pay attention to the "negative space" (the wall space around the items).
If you're struggling with visualizing: one trick we love is tracing the shape of the item onto paper, adding a piece of tape to the back, and using that as a "stencil" to see how much space an item might take up on an existing gallery wall.
This is especially helpful if you have multiple wall planters. Plus it keeps you from having to make extra holes in the wall.
3. Use a pencil or chalk to mark the spot, make sure to account for the length of the leather hanger!
4. Hammer in a small nail (often called a "finishing nail") on the spot you marked earlier.
5. Hang your wall planter! The self-leveling hanger will assure that it hangs properly.
6. Add an air plant! If you have low light, consider a dried arrangement instead.
You're done! Wall planters are an easy way to add dimension and visual interest to any wall. Add them to an existing gallery wall or try pairing multiple planters to create a "living" wall.
